ABSTRACT
Europe has a number of well known tourism
destination, whose regional or local attraction and
future development are mainly based on Lake
resources. In terms of physical geography, they all
have one or more water filled depressions, but
differ from each other in terms of their genesis and
morphology, location, settlement structure, local
culture tourism traditions ect.
It reviews the significant the significant destination
of Europe and the information on tourism
activities in the lake destination.
INTRODUCTION
Early explorers found European lake destination
and marked them. Especially in the period of
romanticism, their their touristic value was
publicized by visual artist and poets inspired by
lake environment.
Gradually, there arose a demand for tourist
services in Europe lake destinations, which
together with the rapidly developing travel of the
modern period led to the large-scale commercial
exploitation of the lake environment. Today, there
is a large number of established lake destination
whose tourist destination is based on all kinds of
lake-based tourist services.
THE SERPENTINE
LAKE(UNITED
KINGDOM)
The Serpentine is a 40acre recreational lake in
Hyde Park London, England ceated in 1730 at the
behest of Queen Caroline. The Serpentine takes its
name from its snakelike , curving shape, although
it only has one bend. There are many recreational
facilities around the Serpentine, as well as boating
on the itself ..

ANNECY(FRANCE)
Lake Annecy, in the Haute-savoie region of France
is fed by mountain springs and known for its clean
water it is also known as “Europe cleanest lake”.
And its north end, Annecy is a medival old town
with canals and bridges. It is a stunning natural
setting allows visitors to enjoy the wide choice of
sports activities in summer as well as winters :
Aerial sports (paragliding), water sports
(swimming, sailing, water skiing, diving) cycling

BELGIUM (lac de la plate
Taille)
The largest lake in the whole country this is where
you will find most of the accommodation and
activities like sailing, diving, kayaking and much
more. Its is best place for getting away from hustle
and bustle of the Belgian cities. And because it is a
hidden gem, even for Belgian. Like swimming,
walking, cycling, sailing, aqua golfing waterskiing ,
zip lining and much more.
Ijsselmeer Lake
(Netherlands)
Ijsselmeer, shallow freshwater Lake, northern and
central Netherlands. It was a closed off inland bay
in the central Netherland .the Ijsselmeer is used
for transport and fishing. It also offers a number of
opportunities for recreational activity both on
water on its shores. Due to the shallowness of
Ijsselmeer, the bordering lakes, its cities and
fishing villages remained mostly unspoilt.
Ijsselmeer is a home of offshore segment of
WindparkNoordoostpolder. In future,
WindparkFryslan will also be built in this bay.
TITISEE
LAKE(GERMANY)
The beautiful lake is the one of the best –known
attraction in the Black Forest. Titisee is one of the
cleanest lake in Germany. Surrounded by forest
and low mountains, it is an idyllic place to relax in
a delightful, natural setting.
The largest natural lake in the Black Forest, Titisee
stretches for some 2km (over 1 mile). It is popular
resort destination with the plenty of outdoor

Encircled by popular excursion mountains, Lake
Lucerne is the lake with the greatest scenic variety
in the country. It is somewhat reminiscent of a
fjord landscape, yet remains characterized by a

HALLSTATTERSEE
LAKE (AUSTRIA)
Hallstattersee is the lake in the Salzkammergut,
Austria. It is named after Hallstatt, thesmallest
town in Austria, famous for its salt mining since
prehistoric times. The water of the lake or see is
so smooth that when you take photos, you have a
mirror image on the water. Rent a boat and go to
middle of the lake for breath taking view.
GARDA LAKE (ITALY)
Lake Garda, in northern Italy, is known for its
crystal clear water. At the south end, the town of
Sirmione is dominated by the RoccaScaligera, a
fortess with harbor views. The nearby Grotee di
Catullo archeological site includes a roman villa.

Next we proceed for a guided panoramic tour of London. See


Westminster Abbey, the house of Parliament, Big Ben, Nelsons
column at Trafalgar square, The statue of Eros at Piccadilly circus, The
symbolic Tower Bridge and Buckingham palace with the changing of
Guards. Then we proceed to visit the London Eye by the river Thames.
Hold your breath as you take a thrilling ride on the world tallest Ferris
wheel. Enjoy magnificent views of the city of London.

Day 3
Onto Paris via the High-Speed Eurostar Train

After a hot buffet breakfast, we checkout and proceed to St. Pancras


International station to board the high speed Eurostar train, which
take you to Gare du Nord station in Paris in a short time of about 2
hours 30 minute. On arrival we visit to the lake Annecy

Next, we visit the Eiffel tower, the symbol of Paris, where a birds eye
view from the third level will leave you breathless…

Day 4
Visit to Disneyland, Paris OR Versailles Palace

After a hot buffet breakfast, we proceed to Disneyland, Paris OR


Versailles Palace and Louvre Museum. For a fun loving and

We take you for an exciting trip to Disneyland, Paris. Get charmed by


Cinderella castle. Take an exciting roller coaster ride down the
Thunder Mountain. Visit fantasyland and meet Alice in Wonderland,
Pinocchio, Peter Pan and Snow white. Get thrilled by the legends of
Aladdin and Indiana Jones at Adventured. Ride a space shuttle to the
moon at Discovery land. Encounter Ghost ships, Steam trains and
Western scenes in the wild west town of Frontierland.

For the history lovers, we take you on a guided visit of the magnificent
Palace of Versailles. Vast chambers and private apartments of
unimaginable luxury including the famous hall of mirrors. We then,
visit the renowned louvre museum, worlds most visited art museum.
See the world famous painting of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci
which has fascinated the world with her smile. Its time for a romantic
cruise on the river Seine from where you will see the important
monuments of Paris.

In evening we take you to the “Grand Evening in Paris” that includes


Champagne with Indian dinner and great entertainment at the Paradis
Latin show. Experience the charm of striking ballets, shimmering
costumes and talented dance troupes.

After the show, we take you on a illumination tour of Paris. See the
famous landmarks of Paris. See the famous landmarks of the city of
lights, magically lights up. A end to the beautiful evening….

Day5
Onto Belgium

Visit Lake lac de la Plate Taille

Orientation tour of Brussels

After a continental breakfast, we check-out and drive to Brussels. On


arrival we visit Lac de la Plate Taille lake The largest lake in the whole
country this is where you will find most of the activities like sailing,
diving, kayaking and much more. Its is best place for getting away
from hustle and bustle of the Belgian cities. And because it is a hidden
gem, even for Belgian. Like swimming, walking, cycling, sailing, aqua
golfing waterskiing , zip lining and much more.

After that we proceed for an orientation tour. See the adorable


Mannekenpis Statue, a charming fountain of little boy, today the
symbol of Brussels, the beautiful Grand place.

Later we continue our journey to Netherlands.

Onto Netherland

After a continental breakfast, we drive to Ijsselmeer lake the biggest


lake in Netherland best place for sailing, cycling, and walking and
enjoy the sun and heavy winds. We then discover Amsterdam in a
novel manner as we take you on a cruise along its canals, the best way
to see the captivating city.

Later, enjoy the demonstration on the art of making wooden shoes


and cheese. Avail of the opportunity to shop for wooden shoes and
other Dutch souvenirs.

We also make a photo stop at windmill.

Day7
Onto Germany

Visit LakeTitisee

Visit Cologne Cathedral

After a hot continental breakfast, we check out and drive to Titisee is


one of the cleanest lake in Germany and several enjoyable things to
do here like hiking, boating, tour by boat, swimming and if you are
not looking for too much physical activity, you can simply sit and
enjoy the surrounding

Later we drive to Cologne, famous for Eau de Cologne, where we visit


the magnificent Cologne cathedral. This 515 feet tall gothic Cathedral
took six centuries to build and is Germanys most visited monument.

Day8
Onto Switzerland

Visit to Mount Titlis with cliff walk and Lucerne

Enjoy Cruise on Lake Lucerne with Gala Dinner

After a hot buffet breakfast, we proceed to Mt. Titlis which at 10,000


ft is the highest peak in central Switzerland. As you journey to Mt.
Titlis in two different cable cars, you will be amazed as the scenery
changes from green meadows, scenic lakes to snow clad mountains.
The last leg of the ascent will be in the worlds first rotating cable car
called the ‘TitlisRotair’. At the Terrace on the top of the Mt. Titlis
summit station, weather permitting, you could take stroll on the
latest attraction at Mt. Titlis-the cliff walk.

Next we proceed for an orientation tour of Lucerne. See the Lion


monument, hewn from a limestone cliff to commemorate the bravery
and loyalty of swiss guards. You have free time at Schwanenplatz to
shop for Swiss army knives, chocolates, watches, souveniers, etc.

Then, we proceed for a cruise on Lake Lucerne. Enjoy a sumptuous


gala dinner with free flow of wine, beer and drinks, will you enjoy the
picturesque scenery surrounding the lake.

Day9

Suggested Excursion: Visit to Jungfraujoch with Lunch

After a hot buffet breakfast, the day I suggested a visit to


Jungfraujoch. Our scenic drive to Lauterbrunnen, from where we
board a train to Jungfraujoch the highest altitude railway station in
Europe at 11,333 ft. takes us along lovely Lakes and mountain passes.
On the top of Jungfroujoch, we have a free time to explore modern
complex. Experience the magic of the mountains at the Sphinx
Terrace. See the breath taking Jaungfraujoch Peak and the awesome
Aletsch Glacier. Also, visit the Ice Palace, where you see the beautiful
display of sculptures made of ice, while being encased in ice yourself.
Enjoy an Indian lunch on the top.

Later return to Engelberg.

Day10
Onto Austria
Visit to Hallstattersee lake
Orientation tour of Innsbruck
After a continental breakfast, we check out and drive towards
Hallstatt, we visit the Hallsttersee lake and take you to the electric
boat ride enjoying the stunning views of beautiful village.

We, then continue our journey towards Innsbruck. On arrival, we take


you on an orientation tour of Innsbruck. See the ‘GoldenesDachl’-the
Golden roof , an ornate Gothic balcony and symbol of the city. Also
see the Heiblinghaus, a building resembling a wedding cake.

Onto Italy
Visit Lake Garda

Orientation tour of Venice
After a continental breakfast, we checkout and drive to Venice, the
romantic Italian city known for its unique architecture visit lake Garda
known for its crystal clear water and we take a boat trip and have fun
at Gardaland. Then we continue our journey towards Venice.We
arrive in Venice, an archipelago of 118 islands, 170 canals & 400
Bridges. We drive over Mussolini’s Bridge of liberty and then take a
Water Taxi to St. Mark’s square, the very heart of Venice. Here, see
the historic ducal palace, the infamous prison, the Bridge of Sighs the
exquisite Clock Tower and the splendor of St. Mark’s Basilica.

Return Home with Wonderful Memories
After a continental breakfast, we checkout and Drive to the airport for
your flight back home. Its time to say goodbye to all the new friends
