Woolworths Marketing Analysis
Australian Food sales increased by 1.7% to $93 billion in the 14 weeks of the first
quarter of the year 2017 compared to the previous year, comparable sales
increased by 0.7% which was driven by continued improvement in comparable
transactions (+2,5%) and comparable item of growth of 0,5%.
The customer metrics also show a significant improvement over the same quarter
in the prior year, showing an overall customer satisfaction increased to 76% in the
quarter and the Store controllable customer satisfaction has also improved to a
79%.
Average prices declined by 1,9% driven by material price reductions in groceries
and bakery compared to the last quarter.
