Reflection #1

In order to revise my essay I read it quietly and then out loud. While reading it out loud I

came across certain sentences that did not make sense, which I had to reword. I corrected some

grammatical issues that affected the flow of my reading. Then, I tried to focus on the type of

poetic devices that were used in the song. I realized that my original essay was in fact more of

me attempting to interpret the lyrics of the song rather than what type of poetic devices were

used and how they related to the meaning of the lyrics. In the revision of my essay I tried to

describe how certain poetic devices related to the lyrics and instrumentals of the song. The last

part of my revision was reading the essay out loud to my sister. Even after doing corrections

during the first read-through I still found some issues that required fixing.
