The solution uses an Oncell G3150-HSPA-T gateway to translate serial data from a remote terminal unit or power meter to TCP data over GPRS, EDGE, or 3G cellular networks. An EDR G903 builds a VPN tunnel between the PC running the SCADA software and the Oncell gateway to securely transmit the remote serial data over the internet.
