Cut out canvas - net around neck, front, bottom (to allow easy re-alignment).

Mark top button, darts & waistline (ruler on cloth, lift cloth against & mark).
Shoulder cut: Divide shoulder in 3rds & mark middle of armhole (actual, not with
inlays!)
Mark 1/2" round arm hole on Canvas
3/4" away from bottom of armhole
Bottom line from curve of canvas below armhole is on bias (outside from dart).
Notch button point

Haircloth:
On grain w. canvas
Place just above waistline.
Mark Breakline & cut along to half haircloth
Step haircloth just back from breakline (1/8").
Mark canvas shape on to rest
Curve off on outside edge at the bottom to smooth out.
Shoulder cuts - cut through as previously marked (3rds shoulder/ 1/2 armhole).
Cut out triangle to sit over opened up dart (must be on grain with rest of
canvas)/haircloth.
Cut 1" 'step' in to triangle to give marks for alignment.

Dart in to haircloth (only): Up 1" above dart, 0.5" to outside


& from middle of armhole round (dart is <0.5")
Cut out collar dart if present.
Silesia on outside of job at lapel (or both).

MAKE SURE CHALK MARKS ARE OUTSIDE/VISIBLE!

Zig-zag over silesia, open up shoulder cut.


Cut & add on extra reinforcements (rectangle for top, roll-line piece, armhole
support.
Cut domette out - 3/4" around haircloth
