Dear Montgomery College Pool Staff,   

I recently viewed your job listing for a pool manager position and 
figured it would be a great fit for me. I have worked as a lifeguard at 
my local pool for three years and as a pool manager for one year.  

During my time working as a pool manager I have created a positive work 

environment for my fellow lifeguards. At the same time I have run a 
tight ship ensuring safe chair transitions and an overall safe 
environment at a pool that can get very busy. 

I love the water and have always been a strong swimmer and guarding has 
come easy to me. I am empathetic to other guards and patrons’ needs 
which has been a necessary trait for conflict resolution at my pool. I’m 
an organized person which helps with scheduling and opening and closing, 
as well as staying on top of the hourly readings. 

I look forward to hearing back from you and hopefully working at 
Montgomery college in the future.
