CURACAO
 My country is Curacao and the reason I picked Curacao is because, I
wanted to pick a country that almost nobody knew about so I could learn
more about it and so other people could learn about it.

 Curacao is located in the Caribbean Sea and 40 miles north of Venezuela.

 What languages are spoken? – The languages in Curacao are English,


Dutch, and Papiamentu, (Papiamentu is a language that is a mix of Spanish,
Portuguese, Dutch, and English).

 What is the current population? – The current population of Curacao is


162,013.

GEOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE

 The major land features in Curacao are mostly plains


and sandy beaches.
 The Climate in Curacao is mostly in the mid 80’s and
almost some to no rain.
 Most people in Curacao live in Willemstad because
that’s the most populated part of town and it’s just so
colorful!
 Curacao has a Prime Minister

 The current prime minister is Eugene Rhuggenaath

 The economy is really good but most of the money spent is on


households and services.

 The major exports are to help people who are visiting Curacao or
thinking about living there.

 People say that Keshi Yena is the traditional food
that people eat today.

 Most people in Curacao drink Curacao Liqueur

 Brua which is are spiritual practices.

 The main beliefs are Roman Catholics

VALUES AND BELIEFS


 Most of the people in a typical household are married but there
are more males in a household than females.

 School starts for 6 year olds and lasts for 6 years and when your 12
you go to high school for 5 years.

FAMILY AND EDUCATION


 People in Curacao dance and play music, but instead of using
instruments people use their hands to make the beat and rhythm.
And children makes crafts to sell on the market because of their
parents working on the plantation.

 People in Curacao celebrate Christmas and another holiday


called second day of Christmas and what they do for that is they
basically just do Christmas over again.

CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS


 They discovered a 30 different species of fish and these
fishes resemble the island itself in their color.

 They
had a cancer researcher named Bob Pinedo and
he was famous for helping solve a chronic disease.

 In Curacao they have so many renewable resource but the


good news is that they set themselves a goal that 29% of the
resources they use will be produced by renewable resources by
Imported Diesel/Oil
2029. And about 90 to 100% of it go to imported diesel or oil. Gold

 What are some weird and interesting facts about your country?
Notice this is plural, which means you need at least two. Learned
that mosquitoes can’t handle stuff like white polka dots on red
walls, so in most of the places that’s what the design is. The color
of underwater really matches the island!

 Iguanas, because unlike Curacao these iguanas are bland and


colorless.
