Seaside Visual Plant Guide was created by a group
of California State University Monterey
Bay (CSUMB) students who saw a need for a user-
friendly plant guide in the City of Seaside, CA. The
purpose of this guide is to encourage the planting of
greenery in the City. This guide exclusively displays
native species of perennials, grasses, shrubs,
groundcover, and trees with a basic description of
physical characteristics and other important
information that relates to the plant. The guide
includes an initial key of symbols and a vocabulary
list to best follow the guide.
