New Philosophes: Industrialization in Britain.

What Happened?: It was a time period in which rural places across
America and Britain became industrial and urban. While industrialization
brought about an increased volume and variety of manufactured goods and
an improved standard of living for some, it also resulted in often
grim employment and living conditions for the poor and working classes.
Where?: Britain
When?: The first half of the 19th century
Why?: Industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose
machinery, factories and mass production, instead of in the Industrial
Revolution where they worked at home.

Imperialism: Korean Colonization

What Happened?: Korea became under the rule of Japan, after the
completion of World War II, around 1945. It had originally begun in 1876
with a Japan-Korea Treaty, but ended around 1945. Korea had planned it,
as their current regent when the treaty was made, hadn’t actually signed
said treaty. The Japanese withdrew from the Korean Peninsula, then
surrendered from the Allied forces, and so Korea returned to its own
independence.
Where?: Korea and Japan
When?: In 1876 and 1945
Why?: Korea was under Japan rule for almost 70 years, but it was still a
sort of independent country. But wanted it’s own independence, without
Japan.
