FEDERALISM CONVENTION/RALLY ON AUGUST 2, 2018 DATE 1 JULY 26, 2018 In consonance with our President's directive to intensify public education campaign for Federalism, our Department in collaboration with the Consultative Committee for the Review of the 1987 Constitution (ConCom) and the Local Government Unit of Davao City, will be conducting a Federalism Roadshow this August 2, 2018. This event will be divided into 2 components; a Town Hall Meeting which will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, August 2, 2018 at the Granada Hall, Grand Menseng Hotel, Davao City and a Federalism Convention/Rally, which will be conducted at 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM at the Rizal Park in Davao City. In line with this, we are inviting you to the Townhall Meeting for us to show our support to the President's call for Federalism and discuss any concerns we may have regarding the matter. Please be informed, however, that during the Townhall Meeting (August 2, 2018, 9:00 AM- 1:00PM), only one slot is reserved for the Governor, Mayor and Liga ng mga Barangay President. There will be a short motorcade around the major thoroughfares within the city prior to the start of the convention/rally. Likewise, we would like to request your support in mobilizing your constituents to attend the Federalism Rally (August 2, 2018, 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM). Also, we are requesting you to extend your support by providing snacks and transportation for your constituents during the event as the funds downloaded to our Department is limited. Moreover, may we also enjoin your office the provision of the following: 1. Tarpaulins showing your support to the event, (preferably, one tarpaulin to be installed in your province/city/municipality/barangay and another to be installed in yourvehicle). Attached in this document is a sample layout of the tarpaulin (please insert the logo of your corresponding LGU); 2.
