teachers, and to all people who is here today.

In our culture, the pastorela has its roots in the colonial era, when the missionaries used
the theatrical tradition of the Nahuatl culture in an educational way to spread
Christianity. These representations take on a new character to get out of the courts of
the churches to stage in the streets and squares, designed to show the customs and
practices of each region. Therefore, in the late sixteenth century there are references to
a Christmas genuine Mexican. This is how this genre has become a good excuse to put
into the creativity and the ingenuity, in order to show the learning of students from first,
second and third grade through a cultural tradition as Christmas.

1. Now, students from first and second grade are acting in the PASTORELA.

Christmas carols originated as courtly love poems songs that over the centuries XV and
XVI are presented in the halls of the great nobles. Later became known as "songs of
villains," and were sung by minstrels in the streets or villages. So now, speaking of
Christmas carols refer only to these songs that recreate a passage or poem to remember
that Christmas is a season of love and peace throughout the universe.
