Geoff Merrill NEW RELEASE TASTING NOTES ‘The wine displays aromas of liquorice and plums, with hints of herbs and savoury meats. The palate is luscious with harmonious tannins and toasty vanillin characters which provide incredible length and will continue to evolve with cellaring. WINEMAKING NOTES A stunning vintage, comparable to the 1990 and 1998, due to the coolest summer on record for South Australia, Flavour ripeness with optimum natural acidity levels was achieved allowing us to produce wines of great intensity and balance. This wine is composed of individual parcels of outstanding wine selected from small French & American oak barrels which have matured for 30 months prior to bottling in September 2005.
