Name of Activity: Snow Slime Ornaments

Concept(s): (What specific concepts/ideas will the children learn from

completing this activity? Concepts learned may be directly related to the
theme, as well as indirectly teaching something else.)
The children will use many different materials including slime to make an
ornament to look like a snowman. The children will be able to use their
creativity and imagination to express how they want their snowman to
look.
Objective(s): (Remember to include all three parts for each objective:
what the children will be given, what they will do with what they’re given,
and to what level they’ll be able to complete the activity.)

The children will be given googly eyes, a snowman nose, black dots, an
ornament full of slime, and a pipe cleaner. They will decorate their
ornament however they please to make it look like a snowman. They will
pick a pipe cleaner they want to use to be able to hang it and have their
Big Jag help they attach it to their ornament.

Materials Needed to Complete This Activity

Teacher Will Supply: Plastic ornaments

Preparation: (What do you need to do to prepare for this activity
BEFORE the children arrive?)
I will come in during enhancement and set up all the supplies on the
tables for each child, and i will pre cut the paper they will need to glue
onto the ornament. I will also pre make the slime for them so the lesson
isn’t as time consuming.

Procedures: (In great detail, explain how to complete the activity. Your
instructions should be good enough for someone else to teach the
activity if you are not here.)
To start off this activity, each kid will be given an ornament full of slime,
a pipe cleaner, two googly eyes, a nose, and black dots for the mouth.
They will also be given glue and a paintbrush so they will be able to glue
the materials onto the ornament. The children will glue their materials
onto the ornament and write their name somewhere on it so they will
know if it is their ornament. Their Big Jag will help them put the pipe
cleaner on the ornament.

Closure/Transition: (How will you end this activity?)

I will ask what their favorite holiday is,
I will ask what they like to do in the snow,
I will ask what they like to do in the winter.
