Project accomplished:

Multi Feature based Image Search Using CBIR

The growing need for robust image retrieval system has led to a need for additional retrieval methodologies.
The method which is proposed in the project uses color, shape and texture features as the criterion for
retrieval of images. All the three features of an image are extracted and are matched against the features of
the images in the database

The project consists of three sections. ‘File’, ‘Feature-based’ and ‘Example-based’ image retrieval. The file
section is used to store the image in the database. ‘Feature-based’ lets the user choose either shape or both
shape and color for the image retrieval task. In ‘Example-based’, an image template is read and all the images
which are closely related to the template are retrieved.
