H CHECKING THE LOG FILE

Some MP3 files may cause a disruption to this system and not be able to play, if the program detects a corrupt file, virus on a file, or incorrect MP3 encoding.
Files which can play normally on your Laptop or home system, may not play on this software due to the above file status. The program will accpet the file and
seem to be able to play, but files of this type will cause the program to be disrupted in the way of crashes, no music output, and sometimes constant repeating
of the last song as the next fuile cannot be played. This needs to be monitored, as the only way to find this problem is to regularly check the system and the
log file for incorrect operation, as detailed below. If you do notice any kind of unususal or disrupted operation of the system, ypu can use the LOG FILE to
determine which song(s) are causing the problem. The following points will describe how to check the log file and what to look out for:
1 Go to REPORT>SONGS LOG
2 This list is the log file of all songs played from the start of operation ,or from the last time you cleared the log file.
3 This list includes name, date, time, & duration of each song

If there has been a problem with any of the song playback, you will see that there are 2 start times very close together. For example if a song started at 18:52,
4 and the duration of the song is 03:12, the next song should start 3:12minutes after. If however, the next song start time is only a few seconds from the
previous song start time, the first song is corrupt in some way, and must be deleted.

5 If this problem does occur, you must remove the song from the Database list, shot down the software, remove the song from the HD file then re-start. After
software re-start, remember to UPDATE THE LOG FILE
6 This problem will also occur if any one song file is greater than 8-10MB. The software cannot load the file into it's memory and operation will be disrupted.
I DELETING THE LOG FILE
1 To completely clear the log file,go to PROGRAMMING>OPTIONS>GENERAL. |You will see CLEAR EVENT FILE button. Click this button to clear the log
2 The log file should always be printed then cleared, every 2 weeks.
J AUTO / MANUAL MODE
In auto mode, the software will randomly select from the category chosen in the relative play time. The program should always be in this mode..
In manual mode, the software will not play any songs unless manually selected from the database.
To switch between auto and manual mode, Go to MODE>MAUNAL or AUTO and select the tick beside the selection you require
K CLEAR THE ENTIRE DATABASE - ALL SONGS REMOVED FROM DATABASE!
If you would like to completely clear the Song Database, (not the songs from the Hard Disk), you cannot dom this from the software. You must delete the
audio DAT file from the hard disk as this is the log of all songs. NOTE: If you delete the entire database, you will completely remove all songs from the
software and will have to input all songs into the respective categories again from the start. TImings and categories will not be deleted. To clear:
1 Exit the MEGAIX Program
2 Go to MY COMPUTER>C DRIVE>AUDIO>MEGAMIX>DATA
3 Locate the DAT file called AUDIO
4 Delete the file. You have now deleted all database song files from the software
5 Re-open the software. All Database songs are cleared. As soon as you play a new song, the AUDIO DAT file is automatically re-created on the C Drive.
L CHANGING SONG VALUES AND VOLUME

1 To change a song value (Song name, album etc), or song volume, go to PROGRAMMING>MEDIA
2 Double click on the song which you would like to change
3 Use the 'GENERAL' Tab to change song information, and the 'MIXING' Tab to change song start & end times, and volume
When changes are complete, click 'OK' and these settings will be saved into the database information.
NOTE: When clicking on the 'mixing' tab, you must click the 'PAUSE' button as soon as you go into the page, or the song will automatically start and cause a
double song playback until you pause it.

M USING INSTALLED 'ACOUSTICA' SOFTWARE TO CONVERT DAMAGED / UNREADABLE FILES

You will find the launch button for this software on the desktop of both computers. This software can convert MP3 to WAV files, but can also convert MP3 back
to MP3, with restored values. If some of the song files you have input to the system seem to stick or cause the software to crash, or seem to be 'skipping' and
not being played (you will notice this if the time for a song is 00:00, which means it was not played), use this software to convert again and try to re-input into
the system.
1 Locate the files you want to convert, and move them (not copy) from the category folder into the 'QUARANTINE' folder in the D Drive
2 Go to PROGRAMMING > MEDIA and delet the songs from the database then UPDATE THE DATABASE
3 To select the destination folder of the converted files, double-click on the software desktop Icon. GO to options and choose destination folder.
4 Right-Click on the mouse with the curson over the QUARANTINE folder, and you wil see the option to 'CONVERT TO> - Choose MP3
5 Your files will be converted. When complete, locate the files and re-input to the system followin above steps and UPDATE DATABASE.
6 To check if files have been repaired, use the 'CHANGE' button to select one of the converted songs.

N FOLDERS ON THE HD

You will find the following folders on the Hard Disk of BOTH computers:
1 SONG FOLDERS - All files in your Megamix Database (morning afternoon, night etc)
