User Manual

Declaration
This user manual is provided with detailed introduction and operating
instructions to help you easily use this mp3 player. Please read this manual
carefully before use.

●Do not put this mp3 player to high temperature, especially do not put it to car
whose doors and windows are closed in summer.
●Don not fall and hit the product, otherwise, LED will be damaged abnormally.
●Do not place the player near a strong magnetic field or electric field.
●Do not put the player into water.
●Do not disassemble this player.
●Select suitable volume, if you feel a drumming in the ears, please adjust low
volume or stop using it.

Basic Function
Music Play: Support mp3, WMA, DRM WMA, OGG, APE (Normal/Fast), FLAC,
WAV, AAC-LC, ACELP, Audible format and etc.
(NOTE: M4A format music files from iTunes can only be played with wired
headphones. They receive copyright protection from Apple. When they are
played with a third-party player (NOT Apple Brand) by Bluetooth, the
encryption module will be triggered, resulting in the failure of playing.)
Support FM Radio
Support video play (AMV format only)
Support Voice Recording
Support TXT format E-book reading
Support USB2.0 high-speed transmission, fully compatible with USB1.1
Support up to 128gb micro SD card extension.
(NOTE: Files in SD cards can only be found in 'Folder' function)

Basic Operation

1.Charge the Player


Plug the attached USB cable into the USB port of a computer or USB charging
adapter to charge this player. When you start charging in computer, it will show
two options: “Charge & Transfer” and “Charge & Play”. It will show the
charging state on the top right.

2.Power On/Off
Hold the Power Button for 3 seconds to turn on/off the player.
Note: This machine has automatic sleep, automatic shutdown and power
saving function. it will turn to screen saver and blank screen automatically if
this player is not operated for a long time. All function buttons will work only
when the screen is bright. If the machine is under screen saver state, press the
Power On button to light up the screen and then do corresponding operation.

3.Music Download (Data Transfer)


Plug it into your computer with attached USB cable and transfer media files
(songs, videos, images, etc.). It can be used as a flash driver and store any
file.
Open ‘my computer’ and you will see a USB disk named ‘mp3-player’. You can
copy media files directly to this player, or create folders in player disk to
organize your media files. When you disconnect this player normally, you will
find your media files in the related functions of the player.
Note: if your computer cannot identify your MP3 Player, try to update your USB
driver or use another micro-USB cable.

4.Lock Screen
Touch the power button to close the screen, it does not affect the song playing.

5.Return to main page


While on playing interface, touch the Back button to go back.

6.Volume Adjustment
Touch Volume + / - to adjust sound volume on the Music Play Interface.
Note: Volume Adjustment is not available at screen-off status.

7.Built in speaker
There’s a built-in speaker in this MP3 Player, the speaker will turn on
automatically when no earphones are connected. You can close this function
in ‘Application’ - ‘Set’ - ‘Speaker switch’ - ‘OFF’.

8.Main Page
Press Previous/Next button to choose the applications. Then press play button
to enter. It will bring you to its 7 different functions, including Folder View,
Bluetooth, All songs, Artists, Albums, Playlist and Application (including Video,
FM radio, E-book, Recordings, Pictures and Setting).
Music

Touch Play button with ‘All songs’ on main interface to access to this function.
A music list will show up, pick up a music to play. Berennis Music Player
supports MP3, WMA, APE, WAV, FLAC format music files.

1. Rewind/Forward
While it’s on music playing interface, touch button Next / Previous to go to the
previous/next song.
Hold down button Next / Previous for fast rewind/ forward.

2. Settings
While it’s on music playing interface, touch menu button to access to
sub-menu. The list will show:

2.1 Home
Return to the Home Page.

2.2 Play Mode


Play music from: Use this feature to select your playlist.
Repeat: Repeat off / one / all.
Shuffle: Play all your songs randomly.
Repeat Setting: adjust repeat mode / times / interval.

2.3 Sound settings


Equalizer: 6 mode to be selected: Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classical,
Techno. (Invalid in Bluetooth mode)
Variable Speed Playback: Adjust speed from -4 (Slowest) to +4 (Fastest). MP3
and WAV format only.
Volume limit: Adjust Maximum Volume to prevent excessive volume caused by
mistakenly touch.

2.4 Add to playlist


Add the playing song to selected playlist.

2.5 Remove from playlist


Remove the playing song from selected playlist.

2.6 Sleep timer


Set the sleep timer function.
2.7 Delete
Delete the playing song from mp3 player.

2.8 Bookmarks
Add bookmark to this song (Function under development)
Bluetooth Function

1. This player has the newest 4.2 version Bluetooth, after connected with the
device it can go back to the main menu and choose the songs from “All songs”
2. Before you connect the mp3 player with Bluetooth device, please make sure
the Bluetooth pairing mode of your device is open.

Choose “Bluetooth” Click the enter button to enter the function. Click ‘Bluetooth
switch control’ and choose ‘Bluetooth open’, you will see Bluetooth logo in the
upper right corner of the screen. Then click ‘Search for device’ to connect to
your Bluetooth devices. When the connection is successful, the logo will keep
bright.

After connect successfully you can go back to the main menu and find “All
songs” choose the song you want to play.

If this player cannot search your Bluetooth device:


Please make sure the Bluetooth pairing mode of your device is open.
Please try another Bluetooth device and connect it with the player to make
sure whether there is any problem with the player.

If this player can search your Bluetooth device but fail to connect it:
Please make sure your Bluetooth device is well disconnected from the
previous player which was paired with.
Playlist & Folder

Playlist
You can click the menu button on a song, choose 'Add to playlist' and choose
one of the three playlists.

But the playlist function is still in the stage of perfection, so I recommend that
you use 'Folder' functions, which is easier to manage your songs.

Folder
You can create a folder and name it, classify your favorite songs and put them
to your folders.

Create a folder:
Connect this player to your PC and you can create folders in ‘mp3-player’ disk
directly, and then put your songs to folders.
Play the songs in the folder: click 'FOLDER' in main menu, enter a folder and
click songs to play.
Applications

Video:
‘Application’ - ‘Video’
Choose a video and touch Enter button to play.
When it on the video selecting interface, touch menu button to access to
sub-menu:
Brightness, Repeat, Delete video and Create playlist.

Note:
1. This player can only support AMV format videos.
2. Bluetooth is not available in video function.

FM radio:
‘Application’ - ‘FM radio’
Touch Up/Down button to adjust the frequency of FM signals. Hold down
Up/Down button to quickly change channels, and touch enter button to stop
changing.
Touch menu button to access to sub-menu:
1.Start FM radio recording: Record current playing FM radio.
2.Save to preset: Save the channel you adjusted.
3.Clear preset: Clear the channel you saved.
4.Auto tune: Automatically search for local channel.
5.Tuner Region: Select among Common signal, Euro signal, or Japan signal.
6.FM recording: Play the radio you recorded.
Note: Wired headphones are required as antenna for FM radio function.

Touch menu button to access to sub-menu:
Brightness, Backlight timer, Slide show settings, Delete picture, Create
Playlist.
Solution for Common Problems

● Unable to boot
Please check whether the battery is exhausted. Try again after charging.
It may because the player was not properly shut down, resulting in battery
protection. Please press the power button over 15 seconds. It will remove
battery protection.

● Fail to hear the sound though earphone/headset/speaker


Please check whether the volume is set to zero.
Please check whether the device is properly inserted into the earphone hole.

●Serious noise
Please check whether the headset plug is clean. Dirt will cause noise.
Please check whether the music file is damaged. If damaged, it may cause
serious noise or skips. Try to play other music files.

● FM with poor reception


Please check whether there is electronic interference device nearby.
Please try to move to an excellent coverage area or places where signals
are especially good.

● Screen shows garbled characters


Please confirm whether the language is set correctly.

● Cannot download files


Please confirm that the player and the computer are connected normally.
Please check whether the internal memory space is full.
Please check whether the USB cable is damaged.
