PREFACE
In the following report, I have presented the work done during my summer internship at
National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi, under the supervision of the
Mr. Paresh shah
In this report, I have presented a brief overview of the tasks completed during the period of
internship with commission. I would also like to thank members, chairperson of NCPCR for
providing me the opportunity to attend this internship program and adhere this responsibility
with working environment.
I am also very thankful to Ma’am upon his continuous guidance throughout the
internship training and provide me the opportunity to learn and understand the project related
complaints regarding Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. I am
also very thankful to other staff for their cooperation during my internship.
I sincerely hope and believe that this internship will become mutually beneficial for me. It will
become an exceptional part of my professional curriculum and will work as a catalyst for my
future career advancement.
The internship opportunity I had with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights was
a great chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself as a
very lucky individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of it. I am also grateful
for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people who led me though this internship
period.
Bearing in mind previous I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and
special thanks to the Chairperson of NCPCR, Nidhi ma’am, Harsha Ma’am who in spite of
being extraordinarily busy with her duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep me on the
correct path and allowing me to carry out my internship at their esteemed organization
I express my deepest thanks to Nidhi ma’am, [legal consultant] for taking part in useful decision
& giving necessary advices and guidance. I choose this moment to acknowledge her
contribution gratefully.
I perceive as this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use
gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their
improvement, in order to attain desired career objectives. Hope to continue cooperation with
all of you in the future.

Today I joined the office situated on the 5th floor of Chanderlok Building, Janpath.
Was introduced to Harsha ma’am and Nidhi Ma’am, Legal consultant at NCPCR.
We were introduced to the working of NCPCR and were asked about any idea regarding
function of NCPCR.
All the interns present there were provided with the bare acts (THE COMMISSIONS
FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS ACT, 2005 and THE PROTECTION OF
CHILDREN FROM SEXUAL OFFENCES ACT (POCSO ACT) 2012).

Started reading the complaint files (approx. 150 files) of North eastern states like
In these complaints we get to know about the issue, provision which was violated in
these issues.
Collected all the success story from these files and put it in the project as guided by
my supervisor.
Started reading files (approx. 120) of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and
Kashmir.
While analysing the complaints, there were many fake complaints from Bihar.
And in some complaints, there was a compromise made between the parties.

Today I made our final report compiling all day’s work and gave the soft copy to Paresh
shah sir.
I compiled my daily work report and also presented it along my assignment report.
I extracted approximately 100 success stories out of the total of 1200 files.
I meddled all the success stories into a report.
