    PTF Procedure

    Step 1: Use the command QSYS/WRKOPTVOL to work with optical volumes ss

    As you press enter below screen appears as shown below and take ‘5’ to display the optical volume
    information
    Step 2: Now enter the command GO PTF
    As you press enter it will display the PTF menu screen as shown below

    Before applying take option ‘1’ to load a PTF if you are aware on the product
    Step 3: To come back Press F3 and take option ‘2’ to apply PTF
    Mention the same parameters as shown in the below screen and enter, will show you that ‘No
    immediate PTF’s applied’ at bottom
    Note: Before you trigger apply PTF check if there are any users in QINTER Subsystem using the command
    WRKACTJOB

    Step 4: Now go to PTF menu and take option’8’ and enter


    As you press enter below screen appears and mention the device name i.e.OPT01

    Change the parameter to N for automatic IPL and Y to see the other options
    After checking all the parameters hit enter, shows you loading from PTF file
    Step 6: check PTF successfully installed or not using the command DSPLOG F4 and
    And type the beginning time & date you applied
