I have applied for the posts of Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) , although I am from engineering background. (Didnt have any
idea while applying for SSC CGL and selected all posts). Now I am afraid if I dont score properly in Paper 3 or Paper 4, will it hamper my actual score
(and reduce my chances for other posts)? Can I skip these exams and give only Paper 1 and Paper 2 ?

N.B: All these questions are based on my assumption that I will qualify Tier I (150, Gen), which might not be the case.

Paper 3 and Paper 4 are treated as separate exams. Their scores will be added to the main score only while considering the
respective posts. Unlike these 2 posts, other posts check the score of Paper 1 and 2 only.

Thanks for the reply...You mean even if i dont give paper 3 and 4 it will not hamper my selection chances...

The other thing is i have selected ABCD as my post preference...Suppose If i dont give AAO exam (Post A) will I am be in any
sort of disadvantage over students who have selected their first preference as Post B??

Please reply...

You can skip paper 3 and 4 and focus only on Paper 1+2. I myself had skipped those papers in cgl 2016. Unfortunately couldn't
make it to the next round because of lower Tier I score. However, I would suggest you to appear for these papers because any
experience will always be good!
