Who can cancel the survey?

Section 4(15), Chapter 6, Title XIV, Administrative Code of 1987 which


provides that the DENR shall

(15) Exercise (of) exclusive jurisdiction on the management and


disposition of all lands of the public domain and serve as the sole agency
responsible for classification, sub-classification, surveying and titling of lands in
consultation with appropriate agencies.

Public LAND Act, Section 4. Subject to said control, the Director of Lands shall have direct
executive control of the survey, classification, lease, sale or any other form of concession or
disposition and management of the lands of the public domain, and his decisions as to questions of
fact shall be conclusive when approved by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources.

Survey procedures:

1. Survey Authority and Survey Order (A and O) by the Regional


Technical Director for Lands, more than 12 hectares or CENRO, less
than 12 hectares (Sec 16 DOA 2007-29)

Note: Sec. 6, DAO 2007-29 provides that isolated surveys includes


private land survey. Sec. 20 provides that the Survey A and O shall be
valid for only 6 months.
