Attention Aspirants: Engineering College teachers with 3 years teaching experience who

intend to pursue Ph.D at IIT Bhubaneswar under QIP Scheme 2019-20.

Dear Candidates,

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that IIT Bhubaneswar has been recognized by the
AICTE as one of the QIP Centers to offer admissions in Ph.D programme under ‘Quality
Improvement Programme’ effective from year 2019-20. The Teachers from AICTE approved
Engineering Colleges, are eligible to apply as per the guidelines of AICTE. The on-line
application process has already been started. IIT Delhi is the Coordinating Institute for
admission to M.Tech/Ph.D programme under QIP.

As you are aware that IIT Bhubaneswar, located in the lush green 936 acre campus and all
Institute activities are being offered from this campus only. The Institute apart from having its
wonderful infrastructure at par with any older IIT, has highly qualified faculty members, good
research labs, hostels with modern amenities. The institute has instilled the true culture of
research of international in character and organizes regularly GIAN courses,
International/national conferences/workshops, short term faculty development courses etc.

The Institute offers Ph.D program in all 7 schools Earth Ocean Climate Science (Geology/
Climate Sciences and Technology/Atmosphere and Ocean Sciences), Electrical Sciences
(Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics and Communication Engineering), Humanities,
Social Sciences & Management (Economics/English/Psychology),Infrastructure (Civil
Engineering), Mechanical Sciences (Mechanical Engineering), Basic Sciences (Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics and Biosciences), Mineral Metallurgical& Material Sciences
(Metallurgical and Materials Engineering).
