Guided practice: Group the class into four groups. Each group will receive a brown envelope which contains
scissors, tape, paper circle & circle pies, white cartolina, marker and questions. Each group will only have 10
minutes to finish their task including the discussion of their answers. There will be 1 representative in each
group to explain their done task.
Direction: 1. Re arrange the circle into another shape (parallelogram) according to the number of parts given.
2. Paste the whole part of a circle and the parallelogram on the white cartonila given.
3. Label the parallelogram correctly.
4. Write the formula of the area of a circle.
5. Paste your product on your assign area with your given group name.
6. Prepare at least 5 seconds clap that represents your group before discussion of answers.
Group 1/ hearts: You will divide the circle into 8 equal parts.
Questions:
1. What is your observation after you re arrange the circle into another shape?
2. Does your pies form into a perfect parallelogram?
3. What is your realization after you form it into parallelogram with smaller/larger number of parts?
