Day One Bargaining
Good Day to All. Your bargaining team would like to welcome Alicia Puzak to our team.
She comes to us from the high school and brings with her a solid background that will
only continue to strengthen our team.
A very special thank you to Mark Maselli for his 22 years of service. Twenty-two years
as a site rep, 16 years as a bargaining team member and 7 of those years as bargaining
chair. Thank you Mark, we would not be as strong as we are without you and your
leadership.
Congratulations to Andrea McKinney-Webster for being appointed your teams’
bargaining chair. We could not have anyone better to fill Mark’s shoes.
Bargaining is beginning Friday, February 22 at the District office. Your bargaining team
has been working very hard on preparing these contract articles for negotiations.
*Article 6: Hours of employment; meetings during prep, staff meetings. *Article 11:
Safety; training, classroom protections, discipline process. *Article 12: Benefits;
medical care, dental and vision. *Article 13: Salary; securing a living wage and other
compensations.
Our first negotiation session will begin at 9:00 am. We will continue to STAND STRONG
FOR STUDENT SUCCESS and the Unit Members. The bargaining team appreciates all of
our dedication and support you give us. We will update you regularly as negotiations
progress.
