Skills & Abilities


COMMUNITY SERVICE
· Aided Del Rey Oaks Elementary School spring 2016. Helped 4th graders with math, 3rd graders with
English assignments and kindergarteners learn to read.
· Volunteered with the non-profit Save the Whales spring 2017 to present, adding “no dumping”
emblems to storm drains and doing various trash clean ups throughout the Monterey area
· Assessed trash for the City of Seaside under a storm drain mandate in spring of 2017

LEADERSHIP
· Led weekly practice and resolved issues as Section Leader of the Advanced Treble Choir.
· Worked as the head lifeguard, created the schedule and trained the new guards.

CERTIFICATION
· First Aid/CPR/AED certified by the American Red Cross since 2008.
· Lifeguard certified by the American Red Cross since 2013.

· Awarded “Founders Award” in 2014 by the Davis AquaStarz.
· It is awarded to a person who “demonstrates hard work and determination through commitment, fun,
teamwork and a positive and upbeat attitude” nominated by teammates and coaches.

Experience
LIFEGUARD & SWIM INSTRUCTOR | MONTEREY SPORTS CENTER | FALL 2017 TO PRESENT
· Worked teaching children how to swim and as a lifeguard at the pool within the gym. Responsible for
watching patrons, preventing injuries, and helping children age 3-15 learn water safety and how to
swim.

SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING COACH | DAVIS AQUASTARZ | MARCH 2011 TO JULY 2016


· Worked as a junior coach and now assistant coach for the Davis AquaStarz synchronized swimming
team. Coach girls ages 6-17, teaching them technical skills, routines and helping them improve. also
make sure the sport stays fun and provide encouragement, especially during competitions and shows.
