Mental Modelling:

A part of

We normally believe that we have an “idea” about the Universe we reside in, this is done by Formingn
mental Constructs of our daily routine reality.

We usually we take a sample (through experiences gained, & obstacles faced), & make a model of our
reality that we can accept.

This, however, is just the defaced and our egoist version of what the Universe really is.

This term has been coined at the debut of the 1970s by Jay Wright Forrests, saying:

“ The image of the world around us, which we carry in our head, is just a model. Nobody
in his head imagines all the world, government or country. He has only selected concepts,
and relationships between them, and uses those to represent the real system “

Pros:

-Mental models helps in aiding us form an informative construct of the world surrounding us.

Debunking the mysteries, and familiarizing them to previous mental presuppositions.

-It alievates the quality of our decision making process by giving us more reactive choices to reality.

Cons:

-Mental constructs are limited to the person’s beliefs, hence selectively cherry Picking reality.

-It often has a few “gaps” within its logic, due to insufficient Granualization of reality.
