I had this revelation while lying on the floor stoned out of my mind.

I put on The Land Before

Time for the nostalgia blast and because the last time I watched a movie while high I ended up
having a realization that Zootopia was headed for a communist dystopia.

So after Little Foot lost his family in the Great Earthshake, he met an old ankylosaurid named
Rooter who comforts him saying “The Great Circle of Life has begun”. HMMMMMM now
where have we heard of the Circle of Life before? I believe that this is evidence that The Land
Before Time and The Lion King take place in the same universe but separated by 65 million
years or so. Furthermore, there would’ve had to be a major cultural shift between the racist and
xenophobic culture of TLBT and the multicultural paradise of TLK. I think that the events of
TLBT (and possibly the many sequels and spin-offs, I haven’t seen any since I was like 5)
caused this shift. The main characters of TLBF learn to coexist and have interspecies friendships
which seems to rub off on their parents at the end of the movie. This is the start of a cultural shift
that extends into the time of Mufasa and Simba’s reigns. Now while Rooter is the only known
proponent of this religious belief in the Late Cretaceous, it had to have been more widespreadly
adopted at some point. While it’s possible that this is an overarching religion, nothing the other
dinosaurs say or do suggests that they believe in this. The best explanation of how it came to be
nigh unto universal in TLK is that Rooter taught it to the mammals during the K-T extinction.
Rooter is shown to be kind and caring and would’ve comforted any mammals living through the
disaster in the same way as Little Foot. Rooter is the prophet of the Circle of Life and his beliefs
would’ve been passed down through countless generation of mammals (and spreading between
species due to Little Foot’s zeitgeist) making it all the way to Africa during Simba’s time.
