Data Integration (12H): Configuration Guide

1 Purpose
The purpose of this document is to describe the general activities and configuration steps required to
import data into the SAP Integrated Business Planning solution.
In general, this solution supports data import using the following methods:

1. Flat File Import via Data Integration Jobs Web UI: Importing data in SAP Integrated
Business Planning can be done via files, which need to be uploaded using the self-service
data integration web UI via secure HTTP (HTTPS).

2. SAP Cloud Platform Integration for data services is a cloud-based data integration
solution that is bundled with SAP Integrated Business Planning, and enables a direct
extraction from On-Premise ERP and APO system into the SAP Integrated Business Planning
HANA database in the cloud.

The data import option used by SAP Best Practices for SAP Integrated Business Planning and
described in this configuration guide is the Flat File Import.
