PREFACE

Training is the essence for the practical orientation of the professional studies undertaken and
without practical training one cannot understand the real basics and theoretical applications in
practice and everything just goes in vain. A Trainee come to face live problems in the industries
and the field the institute where one person pursues his studies cannot provide him that practical
knowledge on all aspects of learning often the studies of a subject is said to be incomplete until
the student has been expose to his practical.
Practical training is one of the major component for any professional course like M.M.M. the
real place where a professional person faces a problem in a field. It was a good exposure for me
to undergo training in a highly esteemed and multi corporate automobile giant like MARUTI
SUZUKI LTD. I was able to get familiarized with the corporate environment, team support and
management operations in working out the operations of efficiency successfully for the
achievement of the end objectives of the organization as a whole. Thus I would say that this
training was beneficial educative & good exposure to me, which will certainly help in my near
future
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The only operation that drives the basic survival of any industry or organization is sales. There is
not a single business or job that exists on this earth which does not have to sell a product or
service. The efficiency of this process marks the success of the firm, which optimally utilizes
this function in its business processes.
I have done my summer training in consumer behavior where I got to learn regarding consumer
behavior and their perception regarding company and its products also I got to understand about
the No.1 leading automobile company Maruti Suzuki Ltd. The company annually exports more
than 50,000 cars and has an extremely large domestic market in India selling over 730,000 cars
annually and has an strong installed capacity plants in Gurgaon and Manesar.
As my work was focused in that area only to meet with the people and understanding the needs
of the customer, understanding the concepts of consumer behavior and how they took the
company, and how strongly we present it in front of the customer as per the need analysis of the
customer. I also tried to explore the new ideas to generate the awareness and created an air for
Maruti cars.
My officer operation was M.G. Motors, Maruti Suzuki Ltd. where I conducted my summer
training successfully.
