I have always been passionate about horses and agriculture so my career goals are to work in agriculture
and with horses as much as possible. My ultimate goal is to someday go into horse breeding but until
then I want to work in the horse industry as much as possible in whatever way possible.

EXPERIENCE
SEPTEMBER 2017 – CURRENT
STUDENT MENTOR, SOUTHERN UTAH UNIVERSITY EDGE CENTER
 Communication: Maintain an open, professional communication system with students
who I mentor, as well as with my fellow coworkers and superiors.
 Positive Attitude: Maintain an upbeat personality while dealing with difficult situations,
such as upset students and/or coworkers.

RANGE TECHNICIAN INTERN, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT
 Wild Animal Skills: Observed wild horses and burros in natural habitat and participated in
a round up. Helped with the trapping and collaring of kit foxes.
 Data Collection: Recorded data on plants and trend studies in a computer using multiple
programs.

EQUINE REHABILITATION INTERN, DAYS END FARM HORSE RESCUE
 Dedication: Worked regular shifts, as well as doing nightly checks (8 pm & 2 am) on
horses in critical care. Lived on site in order to get more hands on experience.
 Barn Experience: Mucked out stalls, changed waters, fed horses, groomed horses,
disinfected stalls, etc.
 Flexibility: Was able to work during emergencies on the farm and adapt schedule to work
with changes and incoming neglect cases.
 Horse Skills: Handled horses in difficult situations, trailering, riding, etc. Handled and
took care of 90+ horses in various stages of health from critical care to healthy. Worked
with horses of all ages and gender.
 Horse Medical Skills: Administered medication, vaccinations, dewormer, and first aid to
multiple horses on a daily basis. Learned how to draw blood. Observed many
veterinarian practices including: castration, IV, euthanasia, etc.
 Willingness to Learn: Participated in class and workshops held at the farm in addition to
everyday work.
 Ability to Adjust: Adjusted to constant changes on the farm with influx of new horses,
herd changes, and emergency situations.
