Postcard from Versailles

Imagine the year is 1919 and the Treaty of Versailles has been signed. Write a postcard
to a family member or friend about the effects of WWI as if you are a German or an
American citizen. In your letter, explain not only the effects of the war, but include the
provisions of the Treaty of Versailles and your opinion regarding whether this treaty will
bring lasting peace or bring future conflict.
On the front of the postcard, draw a scene based on evidence from your research. On
the back of the postcard, write your letter to a friend or family member. Most
importantly—be historically accurate!
