Does the investment of 3000 crore justified in statue of Unity?

Do you know the potential of tourism and how much it contributes to our economy?
How much is the potential of tourism in India? How many can get employment through
tourism? What will happen if Indian government doesn't supports tourism?

The WTTC report said India will add nearly 10 million jobs in the tourism sector by
2028 and that the total number of jobs dependent directly or indirectly on the travel
and tourism industry will increase from 42.9 million in 2018 to 52.3 million in 2028.
Calling India the seventh largest travel and tourism economy in the world.

If something is being done in order to promote tourism so that many people in informal
sector will get jobs. Our country depends a lot on tourism. If we don't do things to
improve tourism people will suffer.

Second part of the question. What if money was distributed?

Government is already spending alot on subsidy and schemes. Simply distribution of

money doesn't help anyone. We need to provide them jobs. Financial security is more
important than one time help.

How much of tourist attraction is statue of liberty?

The number of visitors to the Statue of Liberty amounted to approximately 4.44 million
in 2017.

If we are able to attract them will it not add to our GDP.
