Majors Fair Presentation Questions:

Here are the 6 questions you need answers to (you can ask more- these are
the minimum):

1. What kinds of jobs, careers, and opportunities can this major help
students get ready for?
2. What are the best parts/biggest advantages of this major?
3. What are the worst parts/biggest disadvantages of the major?
4. What are the best classes and who are the best teachers in the major (and
why)?
5. What special requirements does this major have beyond the core music
requirements of all majors?
6. What skills do you need for this major/what kind of student does really
well in this major?

Remember that you have 2 weeks to prepare, and that you need to get your
info from 5 different sources:
• the official website of the major or the minor at Berklee.edu under the
"Academics" tab
• A major representative at the Majors fair
• 1 faculty member who teaches in the major
• 1 3rd or 4th-year student in the major
• Another student or a Peer Advisor

OK, have fun and remember that your job is to do solid research and
prepare a presentation that will be a much fuller and more complex
representation than any student could get on their own.
