2015 was another very successful year at The

Some of the Class of 2015 IB High Achievers
Kilmore International School for students
undertaking the International Baccalaureate (IB)
Diploma. We are very proud of the achievement
University Pathways of the IB Class of 2015.

Class of 2015 University Offers
Franks, who achieved a perfect IB score of 45
(ATAR 99.95) and to the School Dux, Evita
Widjaja, who has received an offer from the
University of Cambridge to read Engineering.

ATAR of 99 or above, placing them in the top
1% of the state, and 26% of students scored an
ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top
5% of the state. In addition, 55% of students
scored an ATAR of 90 or above. Significantly,
the 2015 graduates were awarded twelve
university scholarships.

 Student Success Stories
Angus Franks
Angus Franks, the School Captain,
gained a perfect score of 45 in his
recent IB Diploma examinations. He
has accepted a place to study
Medicine at Monash University and
has been awarded the Sir John
Monash Scholarship for Exceptional
Achievement. Angus was an
outstanding school leader and all-
rounder, participating in the Duke of
Edinburgh Award and the Model
United Nations programme. He is an
accomplished cellist and a member
of the Resonance String Orchestra.
Tuspol Kawprasurt
Tuspol’s hard work has been
rewarded with an IB score of 44 and
a place in Medicine at the University
of New South Wales. He was a
mentor to new students in the
Boarding House and was a keen
Social Service Captain, developing
and managing a number of charity
events throughout the year. Tus is
an enthusiastic actor who won lead
roles in the school productions for
each of the past three years.
Chang Ren
Chang Ren has finished her IB with a
score of 43 and has many offers for
universities in the UK and Australia to
study Commerce. As a School Prefect
Flora has helped many of the
boarders prepare for International
Day and Chinese New Year
celebrations and she regularly
assisted younger students in the
cross-age tutoring program. A keen
mathematician, Flora achieved a
distinction in the Australian
Mathematics competition. Her
interests outside the classroom are
wide ranging including piano and
bamboo flute, cooking and the gym.

Brioude Synnot
Brioude received an outstanding
score of 43 in her IB examinations. A
School Boarding prefect, Brioude was
a keen participant in the National
Youth Science Forum. She has been
accepted to study Sustainable
Development by major UK
universities such as Warwick and St
Andrews. As a House Sport Captain,
Brioude was able to encourage and
organise her House, as well as
participating in athletics, volleyball
and netball for TKIS. She also enjoys
orienteering and is a member of
Outward Bound Australia and
Amnesty International.
Hyun Jeong PARK
Hyun Jeong Park joined TKIS at the
start of Year 10 and finished her IB
studies with an outstanding score of
44. She will be reading Linguistics
and Psychology at the University of
Edinburgh . Irene attended the
United Nations Youth Conference
and the Youth Parliament, as well as
being a keen debater in the regional
competition. As Service and Events
Captain she organised very
successful fundraising events for
charity. She is an artist, violinist and
writes award winning poetry.
Evita Widjaja
Dux of the Class of 2015, Evita
Widjaja, has been offered a place to
study Engineering at Cambridge
University. Evita wants to specialise
in Civil Engineering. This is how she
describes her motivation: “my
interest in the inner workings of the
man-made world we live in today
has directed me towards the path of
Engineering.” Evita also has a place
at the prestigious Imperial College
London to study Civil Engineering
and has applied to Stanford
University in the US. Evita was
Boarding Captain and enjoys playing
the piano and playing basketball.
