The Academic Board has an important role to play in raising Brittany Université standards through
setting the strategic academic direction, ensuring accountability, and monitoring and evaluating the
academic performance of the University.

I hope to work with you in creating Brittany Université as a university that offers educational

MBA - Master of Business Administration

Programme Structure
The MBA programme has a total of 90 ECT
credits and comprises of 6 regular modules at 10 MBA Specialisations
ECT credits each and a Work-Based Project at
30 ECT credits. MBA

The required modules are:
MBA (Marketing)
•Digital Marketing Management
•Strategic Management MBA (Finance)
•Strategic Human Resources MBA (Business Analytics)

•Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship

•Work-Based Project

Assessments
For the 6 regular modules, students are required to submit a professional development portfolio with word count
of around 5,500 - 6,000 to demonstrate their acquisition and practical application of the knowledge and skills. In
addition, students are required to conduct a 30-min presentation and oral defence of the portfolio.

There will also be a Work Based Project of between 8,000 and 10,000 words in a student's chosen specialisation.

On completion of the 6 regular modules and the Work Based Project, students will gain a dual award and will be
awarded an MBA from BU as well as VERN.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

·A bachelor's degree qualification in any subject from a recognised institution; or

·A professional qualification equivalent to a degree and a minimum of 2 years of work experience; or

·Mature and high-potential candidates without degree or equivalent qualifications but hold diplomas or
advanced diplomas with more than 6 years of work experience of which at least 2 years are at supervisory/
managerial level; or

·Mature and high-potential candidates without diploma qualifications but with more than 8 years of work
experience of which at least 3 years are at supervisory/ managerial levels; and

·English language proficiency in order to participate in the programme conducted in English.

DBA - Doctor of Business Administration

Route 1: Mixed Mode

The DBA has a total of 120 ECT credits and comprises of 5 regular modules at 10 ECT credits each and a
Thesis at 70 ECT credits.

The modules are:

• Managing Strategy
• Corporate Finance
• Managing Human Resources
• Marketing Management
• Business Research Methodology
• Thesis

The DBA regular modules are assessed through coursework, assignments and/or work-based reports. The
Thesis shall be between 20,000 and 30,000 words.

Route 2: Research Mode

Students can opt for a more extensive "Thesis only" route (120 ECT credits). Student must undertake a
Research Methodology module prior to commencing their thesis research or be exempted from it
should students have already undertaken a similar or equivalent Research Methodology module prior to
enrolling on to the programme.

Following the Research Methodology module, students have to submit a Thesis Proposal, and a supervisor
will be assigned to a student who, under the guidance of the supervisor, shall continue to work towards
completing the Final Thesis of around 40,000 - 45,000 words.

Graduation
Upon successful completion of all required modules/components, the thesis and the oral defense, students
will gain a dual award and be awarded a DBA from BU as well as VERN'.

Entry Requirements
• A Master's degree qualification in any subject from a recognised institution; or

• A professional qualification equivalent to a Master degree; and

• English language proficiency in order to participate in the programme conducted in English

EdD - Doctor of Education

Route 1: Mixed Mode

The EdD has a total of 120 ECTS credits and the Mixed Mode comprises of 5 regular modules at 10 ECTS
credits each and a Thesis at 70 ECTS credits as follows:

•Understanding Learning and Learners

•Creating A Conducive Learning Environment
•Managing and Leading Digital Education
•Leadership and Organisation Transformation
•Education Research and Methodology
•Thesis (20,000 - 30,000 words), and a mandatory oral defence of the Thesis

Route 2: Research Mode

The EdD has a more extensive "Thesis only" route comprising:
•Thesis preparation and Thesis Proposal of 4,500 - 5,000 words (25% of the marks)

•Final Thesis of 40,000 - 45,000 words (75% of the marks)

Graduation
Upon successful completion of all required modules/components, the thesis and the oral defense, students
will gain a dual award and be awarded a EdD from BU and VERN'.

Entry Requirements
·A Master's degree in the relevant field; or other qualifications recognized by BU as equivalent to a
Master's degree; and

·Demonstrate English language proficient in order to participate in the programme conducted in

English.

• The application fee of HK$700 is non-refundable under any conditions. The processing fee of HK$5,000 is
refundable ONLY if the application is declined by the concerned institute. Application and processing fees are
NOT refundable if the applicant voluntarily withdraws from the application process by any reasons. For accepted
candidates, the sum is NOT refundable.
• Tuition fee covers course enrolments, access to online platform and academic assistance. Fees for textbooks and
deferment, however are not included. Students who have enrolled in the programme are registered for the whole
programme, not individual courses. Tuition instalments are non-refundable and failure for any instalment payment
