REVISI ABSTRAK

This research is motivated by the many religious-based schools that carry out
memorization of the Qur'an. In accordance with the needs of the community, especially parents
who began competing to make their children memorize the Qur'an. Religion-based schools
usually make the memorization program of the Qur'an as one of the excellent programs for
their schools. In implementing the memorization program of the Qur'an in schools it has been
designed systematically and has its own method or method in its implementation. The
objectives of this study are: 1) To describe the implementation of the short surah memorization
in Madina Samarinda Integrated Elementary School, 2) To describe the short surah rote
learning method carried out at Madina Integrated Elementary School Samarinda, 3) To describe
the supporting and inhibiting factors of surah memorization short at Madina Samarinda
Integrated Elementary School.
This study uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques carried
out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are used through
several stages, namely: the first data obtained from various sources ranging from observations,
field notes and interviews are classified according to their respective characteristics. In this
study the flow model data analysis was used. The data that has been obtained will be grouped
then the data analyzed begins with data reduction, data presentation and the last is drawing
conclusions and verification.
From this study it was found that the implementation of rote learning was carried out
every day with a predetermined schedule. The method used is the method of movement,
memorizing together and repetition. The supporting factor for rote learning is having a schedule
that is quite frequent so that it gets optimal results. The inhibiting factor is that there is more to
the catch of the child that varies between one child and another and the behavior of children
who still like to play or not really memorize.
