INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR STUDENT TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

First group: Olivia M & Emily


Second group: Adele, Indi & Grace
- Olivia M and Emily will be assisting Sophia, Sophie and Miriam with the Green screen’s
- Adele, Indi and Grace will be assisting Olivia B and Jessica with the metal detectors and
the sequencing boards
- Once 30 minutes is up, the student teacher’s assistants will swap to assist with the
corresponding group activities
- All student teacher’s assistants are required to collect all learning materials during post
activity time (10 Ipad’s, 2 green screens, masks, 4 metal detectors, 4 sequencing boards
and setting cards)

Green Screen

Distribute IPad’s Children are in groups of 2/3
One TA to hold the green screen Hold the green screen behind the child that
is recording their scene
One TA to ask the children waiting about Possibility of children waiting to record so
their scenes strike up a conversation about the scenes
they are imagining (may even need two
TA’s when it comes to the group of 3)

Metal Detectors and sequencing boards

Two TA’s to hide the cards in the sandpit Count five cards in each stack with a

Distribute metal detectors Four small groups of children – one metal
detector per group
