READING &WRITING

1. Write a 1-page food blog about any food that you like. It may be from a fancy restaurant or from your favorite street
food cart. Use the descriptive pattern of development. Follow the mechanics below:
a. Use Calibri font style with size not smaller than 9, margin can be narrow and the space between lines can be
1 or bigger;
b. Words should be from 450-600 only;
c. Add picture/s that show/s you and the food;
d. Lay-out should be appealing.

2. Write a 1-page definition essay about your name. You may ask your parents about the history or how they came up
with your name. Include the meaning of your name, if possible. Follow the mechanics above except letter C, but please
add your recent picture.

3. Compose a 1-page comparison-contrast essay about two people who influenced your life. They could be your parents,
teachers, friends, or any personality. Follow the mechanics above except letter C, but you should add the pictures of the
people you have chosen.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
Make a scrapbook/magazine type of project that includes the following:
PAGE 1: overall title (My Groupie Project), your name, and section
PART 1: Section title: Learning from Others
This page/s should have pictures of people who influenced/touched your life from childhood up to the present.
Add also short captions/descriptions about who those people are and how/what they have contributed to your
life.
PART2: Section title: Thanking a Special Other
This page should have a letter for any of your high school teacher who has positively affected your life, both
academically and personally. Attach the letter in such a way that it could be detached easily along with its
envelope.
PART 3: Section title: Reaching Out to Others
On this part, add pictures of you with your friends. Write captions or descriptions about the qualities or
characteristics that you like most about them.
PART 4: Section title: In the Eyes of Others
This section should have the page where your classmates wrote what they think about you, the eulogies from
your parent/s and two friends (1 classmate, 1 friend who is not a classmate).
PART 5: Section title: Painting a Picture of My Important Others
Here, make a collage about the characteristics of your ideal man/woman. Add a letter for him/her and for your
future kid/s. If you have a romantic partner at present, do not address your letter to that person. Do not have a
particular person in mind, it is better to think that you have not known this person yet.
PART 6: Section Title: How I want Others to View Me
Write your own epitaph that will imply what kind of legacies you want to have.
PART 7: Section Title: Honoring the Very Special Others
Write a letter to your parent/s about something that you may not be able to tell them personally. You may also
tell them how much you appreciate them.
*You may use any font style that is readable. Be creative. You will be graded based on the following:
