ORDER:

In the reference 1st read above, permission was accorded for drawl of
water 9.00 cusecs to M/s.SEW Constructions Limited which was
subsequently changed to various firms, finally amalgamated to
M/s.Samalkot Power Limited.

2. In the reference 2nd read above, permission was accorded for drawl of
additional 20 Cusecs of water from river Godavari by M/s.Reliance Energy
Limited, subsequently renamed as M/s.Reliance Infrastructure Limited.

3. Based on the representation of the firm vide reference 3rd read above,
the Engineer-in-Chief(Irrigation), Hyderabad in the reference 4th read above
has informed the Government that total water requirement for M/s.
Samalkot Power Limited (2X1200 MW Power Plant) is 26.20 Cusecs. The
firm M/s. Samalkot Power Limited vide reference 2nd read above, has been
permitted to draw 20 cusecs of water from River Godavari, Upstream side of
S.A.C. Barrage and now the firm M/s. Samalkot Power Limited is requesting
to redistribute 9 Cusecs of water already allocated to their Group Company
M/s. Reliance Infrastructure Limited (previously M/s. Snehalatha Power Ltd)
as given below:-
i) M/s. Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. : 2.80 Cusecs
(220 MW Power Plant)

ii) M/s. Samalkot Power Limited : 6.20 Cusecs

(2x1200 MW Power Plant)

4. Government after careful examination, hereby accepted the proposal

of Engineer-in-Chief(Irrigation), Hyderabad as indicated in Para-3 above.
After the above redistribution is made, the quantity of water to
M/s.Samalkot Power Limited is 26.20 cusecs as against the original sanction
of 20 cusecs vide reference 2nd read above duly reducing the quantity of
water to M/s. Reliance Infrastructure Limited is 2.80 cusecs as against the
original sanction of 9 cusecs vide reference 1st read above.

further action in the matter, accordingly.
