Exercise: Develop a Value Proposition

In the previous lectures, we discussed branding and positioning. This exercise will help you to
start developing your company’s brand.
1. Who are you? Think about your passion, belonging, mission, and values.
2. What do you do? What service or product do you provide?
3. Who is the target customer?
4. What does the target customer want or need?
5. What is your brand promise?
6. Who are your top 3 competitors?
7. What is the gap in the market? How are questions 1-5 different from competitors?
8. Based on your answers to questions 1-7, what is your value proposition (1-2 sentences)?
Example format: My company, __(name of company)__, is developing __(a defined
offering)__ to help __(a defined audience)___(solve a problem)__with __(competitive
advantage)__.
