‘ADVISOR’ ON CONTRACT BASIS FOR COORDINATION AND LIAISONING WITH RAILWAYS
National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Mini-Ratna, premier profit-making Central Public Sector
Undertaking engaged in manufacturing and marketing of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs, is
looking for experienced retired professional for engagement as Advisor, purely on contract basis at
Corporate Office in Noida, for coordination and liasioning with Railways.

A. JOB REQUIREMENT
„Advisor‟ will be required to follow up and coordinate with all Units of NFL, Marketing Division,
Department of Fertilizers (DoF), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, and Railways for maximizing
dispatches, ensuring availability of Rakes for Urea, Imported Fertilizers & Coal and/or any other
related jobs assigned to him from time to time. The incumbent will also be required to provide
assistance in settlement of Railways claims and mentoring NFL employees for the said job.
B. QUALIFICATION
Atleast Graduate in any discipline from recognized University / Institute.

C. EXPERIENCE
Minimum 20 years‟ experience in Public Sector Undertaking in Fertilizer Industry out of which
atleast 10 years‟ experience in liasioning with Railways as on 30.06.2018. Candidates should
have retired from the position of Deputy General Manager (E-7) or above either in the pay scale
of `43200 - 66000 (IDA) / `37400 - 67000 with Grade Pay of `8700 (CDA) or above pay scale.
The Experience Certificate of the candidate should mention the requisite experience for
minimum 10 years, failing which application may get rejected. The shortlisted candidates would
invariably produce Relieving / Discharge Memorandum from his/her last employer and give self-
declaration that no vigilance investigation or disciplinary case was pending against him/her at the
time of his relieving.

D. AGE LIMIT & MEDICAL FITNESS

Must be below 65 years. Candidate should self-certify that he/she is medically fit to travel in
Delhi - NCR and other Indian states for discharge of official duties

E. CUT OFF DATE OF RECKONING ELIGIBILITY

30.06.2018 for all purposes of this advertisement.

F. TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT
Selected candidate would be required to attend office on daily basis and report to Chief General
Manager (Materials) or any other designated official. He/She will mark his/her attendance as
directed by his/her Controlling Officer. He/She will be engaged initially for a period of six months
from the date of his/her joining. However, services of „Advisor‟ can be terminated at any point of
time without assigning any reason therefor. The term may be extended as per administrative
requirements of the Company.

G. REMUNERATION
Consolidated fixed remuneration `70,000/- per month. The payment shall be made on pro-rata
basis depending upon the number of days of attendance. Income Tax shall be deducted as per
rules. Vehicle shall be provided for discharging official duties within Delhi - NCR. For official tour
beyond Delhi-NCR, he/she shall be entitled to TA/DA as applicable to his/her last held post, as
per TA/DA rules of his/her last employer. In addition, `500 per month shall be allowed on the
basis of self-certification for tele-communication expenses. No other allowance will be payable.
No conveyance shall be provided for coming to or going from office. Selected candidate would
normally be required to work for half day on each working day. However, he may be required to
work for full day / holidays depending on work exigencies & requirement of the Company, for
which no extra compensation shall be payable.
H. SELECTION PROCEDURE
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be provisionally shortlisted and called for personal
interview. Selection shall be made according to merit drawn on the basis of performance of
shortlisted candidates in the interview process. Candidates are required to qualify in the Personal
Interview with minimum average of 50% marks in interview. No Travelling Allowance would be
payable for attending the interview or joining/reporting for duty upon selection.

2. The last date of receipt of complete applications is 20.06.2018, unless extended and notified
on NFL‟s website.
3. Incomplete/Unsigned application proforma OR application not in prescribed proforma OR
application not supported by self-attested copies of relevant documents OR not fulfilling the
eligibility criteria OR application received at any other address of NFL other than that as
mentioned in the foregoing OR application received after due date shall be summarily
‘Rejected’ and no queries shall be entertained in this regard
4. Scrutiny and shortlisting of applications would be done on the basis of documents enclosed
with the prescribed application form. No interim correspondence by the candidates regarding
availability/non - availability of documents would be entertained. Accordingly, candidates are
advised to enclose all relevant documents alongwith the hardcopy of application form. All
communications would be made to the candidates on the e-mail id submitted by them in their
application proforma.
J. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate for engagement as „Advisor‟.
2. Only short listed candidates who are found eligible based on the application submitted will be
called for participating in the Selection Process. In case the applicant does not receive any
communication within 90 days from the date of publication of this advertisement, it may be
presumed that he/she has not been short listed for the Selection Process.
