LESSON PLAN
Day Six to End

Course: Language Arts Teacher:

Preparations Necessary: • Make sure there are enough rubrics printed out for each student
• Make sure to have enough construction paper for final copies
• Make sure to have crayons/coloring supplies for students to use on their final
pictures and covers of their books

Lesson Content
• Once students take a few days to fill out their story maps, they will continue on to write their
rough drafts

• They will take their story map and write a paragraph for each page (introduction paragraph, body
paragraph one, body paragraph 2, and concluding paragraph)

• The rough drafts should be done on lined sheets of paper

• As students finish each paragraph, have them come to the teacher, and the teacher can edit and
read through it with the student (making sure to make corrections)

• The students need to make sure to include a draft of their picture as well (not in color, just a
sketch)

• Students should have four paragraphs, edited with the teacher, and with a picture for each
paragraph. Within their story, they should have included all the vocabulary words

• Once they finish their draft and everything else needed, they will begin typing their final drafts!

• Each paragraph should be its own page so they have room to draw their pictures

• Pictures should be colored and done neatly on their final draft

• Use the rubric to grade their assignments once they are done!
