Jim: When I joined the Air Force, based on my test scores they said you are going to be a
computer programmer. I had taken classes in college, but I thought it was boring. Once I got into
real world problems, then it was better than just a homework assignment.
Isaak: Do you think that having computer programming skills is beneficial in your everyday
life?
Jim: For me it does, based on my career.
Isaak: With a background in programming, has it ever been hard to find a job?
Jim: No. I was with Northrop Grumman with over 15 years, so i was stressed when I lost that
job. Before I was out the door, I had 3 job offers and I got to choose my job.
Jim: Office suites, word, excel, powerpoint, there is other software I use for checking audits
and making sure stuff is updated that are called Ansible and Alloy Discovery.
