Q. 2. Case Study

Mrs. Oberoi, 42 years is suffering from insulin dependent diabetes (IDDM ) for the past 20
years. Her glycarmic control was initially poor but has improved very much because of her
treatment and dietary control. Recently, she has developed blood pressure and her blood pressure
in the recent visits to the doctor has shown to be 165/95 mm Hg. She has proteinuria as well. Mrs
Oberoi is a nonsmoker and does not overweigh and also on controlled diet.

Discuss the management strategy for recently diagnosed diabetes and hypertensive. 04
