How data flows around a computer system worksheet

● Represent and describe how data flows around a computer system. (P3, 1.3)

● Programs And Files are stored on the hard drive


● The processor then loads up the software/Application copying the data from the hard
drive to the main memory (RAM) (Random Access Memory)
● New Data is entered Via an input device such as a keyboard this data is then inputted
and transferred into binary code which then the computer understands
● The processor then stores this data into the main memory (RAM) (Random Access
Memory)
● The processor Takes in all this new data and outputs onto an output device such as a
monitor
● The Data is then saved to the hard drive when the user instructs it to do so
