Dongpo is a part of the scholar class meaning he’s centered around resulting damage towards the enemy.
However, considering his skills, he’s a highly situational hero and can be formatted in multiple ways depending
on your formation and your current heroes.
Here is a basic guide to lead you on your way:

Active Skill:
Damages 147% of attack to enemy with an extra 152 bonus attack to front enemies plus a random backline
enemy, reducing their healing by 47% for 2 rounds. (Note that Dongpo’s healing debuff will not work if
enemy uses Pan an and [enemy’s Pan an] is faster than Dongpo since Pan an makes [allies of belonging
team] immune to negative effects.)

Passive Skill:
Dong Po’s attack increases after every round (in which he used his active beforehand) by 4.3%. This attack boost
can only stacked up to 5 times and is indicated by swords revolving around the hero. (Unlocked at upgrade +4)

Gems:
ATK, CRIT (Third gem depends on the team you’re going for — although mainly recommend AGI since
having a more offensive team can be more luck based compared to a defensive team.)

Gear:
- Unity/Duality (For an offensive, ATK-based Dongpo)
- Royal (For a defensive Dongpo that helps to ensure his ATK passive is maximized)

Treasure:
Dongpo has many destined treasures such as Cyan Pendant, Plume Pendant or Flow Pendant (CRIT destiny
bonus attribute) which have the basic attributes of ATK and ACC but depending on your team, you should
choose a treasure that optimizes his skills relative to his position (e.g. Defensive Dongpo would need a more HP
and Def based treasure while Offensive Dongpo would need a more ATK and CRIT based treasure.)
● Works best with a defensive team as his skills need to stack in order to be effective i.e. he needs to
survive long enough for his ATK to be increased sufficiently
○ Pairs well with Gourmet MC since Gourmet’s skill is to increase DEF and shield your allies,
this would further help Dong Po’s survivability
○ Can fare relatively well with Medic class as they are able to stun/sleep enemies which will be
able to create more time for Dongpo to live
○ Might not recommend for Scholars as this class, although able to tank, is not required to and
does not come with high DEF and HP. Tanking with them is a risk to Dongpo. Their damage
as a scholar also is not high enough to ensure Dongpo’s active skill will be useful.
○ Can work well with Guard class and is recommended for this certain class considering they are
able to take hits, which will serve as a shield to keep Dongpo alive.

Skins:

● Rare - Calm Storm
Cost: 40 Skin Shards OR Elite Biography in the Celestial Pavilion Shop ( )
○ Skin shards can be obtained through Ranking Honor Shop & Wedding Mood Chests
○ Ink coins can be obtained through challenging or reviewing a ny c hapter in Elite Biography;
Folksong Wine can only be obtained through challenging or reviewing Dongpo’s chapter
(Stage 1870)
● Epic - Cloud Cost
Cost: 40 Advanced Skin Shards
○ Advanced skin shards are obtained through Royal Treasure
■ (Note: in order to get enough advanced skin shards, you’ll have to spend a
considerable amount — usually around $300)

Formation: Offensive

● Dong Po’s active hits a backline enemy so pairing him with a hero such as Lord Yi, who’s passive hits all
enemies, will prove useful in overturning a battle.
○ However, for this formation to work, they must be at a very high upgrade and Lord
Yi must move faster than Dongpo by a considerable amount (i.e. have more AGI).
This can backfire as you also need Dongpo to have high AGI to activate his passive
skill faster to make use of the stacked damage.
● Can also use him with a scholar like Xuanji who attacks all enemies with her active, hence, no need for a
large gap in between AGI.

Formation: Defensive

● Scholars come with lower HP and Dongpo isn’t an exception. However, to make use of his passive skill,
he’ll need to be able to survive longer. Using Wu Zetian, whose skill is to spread the damage taken
throughout the allied heroes will allow for every hero to be built like a tank which means that when the
damage is forthcoming, only 50% is taken by the target hero and the rest is spread out (and when it is; it
is reduced by 33%) which can allow heroes like Dongpo, to, in the end survive longer and be more
durable.
○ Be aware that while Wu Zetian will be able to decrease the damage Dongpo will take,
she will also spread another allies’ damage to Dongpo.
● Dongpo will be able to work will when having a tank like Mulan to take incoming attacks.
○ Mulan as a tank will naturally take the most hits, meaning she’ll most likely have the lowest HP
making her the target of Lord Yi/Li Bai. This means Mulan will be able to take the target off of
Dongpo and with Mulan’s passive skill of activating a shield that makes her immune to any
attacks, the enemies’ passive will be wasted. This can keep Dongpo in the clear.

Shards:
● You can purchase Dongpo’s shards in:
○ Hero Shop: 300 Soul Jade for 5 shards

○ Elite Biography (Celestial Pavilion Shop; Stage 1870) :

● You are also able to obtain his shards through an event called Hero Summoning:
○ You’ll be able to spin using 100 ingots per 1 summon
○ You can also spin using summoning tokens which can be obtained through topping up, and
log-in events
■ Note: Other ways of obtaining will later be added
