Feasibility Analysis

Technical Feasibility (risky):

Familiarity with application (moderate)
 The users have a basic understanding of online application due to experience with previous application.
 Project will be an extension of the previous application, which has existed for about a year.

Familiarity with technology (low)

 The developers have had no experience with developing an information system of this scope which makes the project
very risky.
 Development tools and products for application development are available in the marketplace; however, we have very
limited experience with them.

Project size (high)

 We estimate that the project is considerably large in size.
 The project will be integrated with other systems and databases which could cause potential problems down the road.
 There are seven colleges within the university and X number of majors which make creating a graduation plan for
each major complex.
 Even with the number of people on the development team, the complexity of the project makes the project difficult to
manage.
