QFEST 2019: Implementing Rules and

Regulations

IRR 1.0 SING OFFS

IRR 1.1 The SING OFFS is open to all bona fide members of Quezon Federation of Junior
Philippine Institute of Accountants in the 2nd semester of F.Y. 2018-2019.

IRR 1.2 Each Local chapter may send maximum of 3 participants for the sing offs competition.
They will be judged individually.

IRR 1.3 First round will be elimination. Each participant will sing their chosen song provided
that it will take a maximum time of 1:30 minutes only.

IRR 1.4 Singing acapella or with live accompaniment is prohibited and only minus one is
allowed for the whole competition.

IRR 1.5 Then the judges will only choose six participants who stand out with their performance.
They will move to the next round.

IRR 1.6 Second round will be the battles. The song will be given by the QF officer that will be
posted together with the IRR. The participants should be familiar will all the songs provided.


IRR 1.7 From the battle round, only three participants will move to the SING OFFS round.

IRR 1.8 The final three will sing their chosen song for the sing offs round.

IRR 1.9 The presentation in the elimination, battle and sing offs round will be judged according
to the following criteria:

Voice Quality 45%
Stage Presence 20%
Diction, Pronunciation and Interpretation 15%
Audience Impact 10%
The “X-Factor” 10%
TOTAL 100%
IRR 1.10 The top 3 shall be declared champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.
IRR 1.11 The decision of Panel of Judges is irrevocable.
IRR 1.12 Medals and Certification await the winner of Sing offs.

IRR 2.0 We Love OPM

IRR 2.1 The “We Love OPM” competition is open to all bona fide members of Quezon Federation of
Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants in the 2nd semester of F.Y. 2018-2019.

IRR 2.2 Each local chapter can only send one (1) participating group in this event with three to five
members, a group of all female, all male or mix.

IRR 2.3 The participating group are allowed only to use the following instruments:

 Guitar

 Beat box

Percussions


IRR 2.4 “We Love OPM” is a battle wherein participating groups will make a rendition of an iconic
song of the following bands:

 Kamikazee

 Parokya ni Edgar

 Eraserheads

 Silent Sanctuary

Callalilly
Only one band may be selected by the participants and only one song of that band will be
performed.

IRR 2.5 The presentation will be judged according to the following criteria:

Creativity/Rendition 40%

Voice power/Musicality 30%

Instrumentation 20%

Audience Impact 10%

TOTAL 100%

 IRR 2.6 The top 3 shall be declared champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

IRR 2.7 The decision of Panel of Judges is irrevocable

IRR 2.8 Medals and Certification await the winners of We Love OPM

IRR 3.0 DANCE BLAST

IRR 3.1 The Dance Blast is open to all bona fide members of Quezon Federation of Junior Philippine
Institute of Accountants in the 2nd semester of F.Y. 2018-2019.

IRR 3.2 Each local chapter can only send one (1) participating group in this event with 6-10 persons,
a group of all female, all male or mix. the dance presentation shall only be good for 3-5 minutes
maximum.

IRR 3.3 A pop dance showdown of choreography amongst the local chapters. Deadly acts are
not allowed and may deem disqualification by the group (e.g. multiple tumbling, throwing and the
like). Accompanying song/music will depend on the performers’ discretion.

IRR 3.4 The presentation will be judged according to the following:

Choreography/Mastery 30%
Originality and Creativity 20%
Synchronization 20%
Showmanship/Stage Presence 20%
Customes and props 10%
TOTAL 100%

IRR 3.5 The top 3 shall be declared champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively.

IRR 3.6 The decision of Panel of Judges is irrevocable

IRR 3.7 Prizes and Certification await the winner of Dance Blast.
