Purpose

This is a fictional book wrote for the entertainment of its

readers. Benway wanted to get the message through to the
readers that family isn’t always perfect but the bonds you
build with them can never be diminished. Three completely
different lives and lifestyles were mended together to build
their family again after many years of being split up.
Strategy
What’s going on?
Benways set up of this book really helps the readers get an
understanding of how each character is feeling about the situations
they face as a whole and individually. Chapter one starts with Grace
and her story about how she’s been living these past years with a
different family. Chapter two describes Maya, three describes
joaquin and from there each new chapter takes turns expressing
each one’s views and stances. I really enjoy this because i no longer
have to guess or assume what the other characters might be
doing/thinking.
This books effect on the audience
has a tendency to vary. Some
people, including myself, who have
been adopted or been close to

Effect on the someone who has, can make

connections from our life to the
audience book. On the other hand those who
may not have gone through similar
situations or know anyone who has,
are able to learn how frustrating, yet
exhilarating life like this could be.
I have never read a book i felt so connected to
before. I myself was adopted and until just
recently had never met my mother. Reading this
book i really felt apart of it and i can honestly
say reading this has pushed me closer to getting
Personal answers from my biological mother and be able
to visit and build bonds with my little brother

others haven’t been through similar situations
but regardless i would recommend you read this
book either to connect with the characters or
even better your understanding of them.
