CONSIDERATIONS

Site Consideration
-Considered the right orientation of the building to offer comfort by considering
factors that affect the site such as
the sun path, wind direction, traffic flow, noise, terrain and climate.

Accessibility / Circulation
-This is considered to so as to make sure that the access between spaces would be
efficient by providing pathways, sidewalks,
transportation stops and ramps for both PWDs and vehicle.
-

Functional / Operational
-Provision of spaces that are needed by all of the users so that the purpose of the
whole structure might be maximized.

Productivity
-Proper zoning of the spaces inside the convention centre so that there would be an
effective circulation inside would lessen the
hassle of finding spaces,

Safety and Security

-To make the convention center secure, provision of safety features a warning
hazards, security area for both entrances and exits.
Fire protection features like sprinkler system are also integrated in the design.
To plan the emergency exits and have a safe place
for the users.
-Access on the site and the structure's spaces should be at maximum access to
minimize the ost of security services and at the same
agency access for its users.

Environmental Sustainability
-This is considered so that the structure could contribute less chuchu, no carbon
emmission and integrate facilities that would
affect thw environment negatively. The use of new technologies such as water
systems and use of solar power is used in the overall design.

Character
-As mentioned in the concept, the character of the building is something that would
represent the philippines by choosing a theme that would help
identify one of the country's asset, its beauty.

Aesthetic
-

Lighting and Ventilation

-Allowing natural light and ventilation to pass through spaces to save more energy
and to provide good lighting and
air ventilation,

Land Use
-To maximize the floor area ratio for more income.

Circulation
-To help the users save travel time while roaming around the site by using proper
zoning.
Road right of way
-To consider the roads for a better traffic movement.

Cost effective
-Consider selecting building elements on the basis of life-cycle costs, as well as
basic cost estimating and budget control.

Resource Efficiency
-Defined as optimization of natural resources and materials, as well as waste
reduction.

Energy Efficiency
-Defined as implementing an integrated and comprehensive approach to energy
efficient of the building site, the building envelope,
and mechanical space conditioning systems.

Water Efficiency
-Defined not only as conservative of our most previous resources, but also as
controlling the undesirable effects that water and moistture can have on the home.

Indoor Environment Quality, Maintenance, and Homeowner Education

-Defined as the creation of a healthy living environment that "breathes" and avoids
retention of moisture and other harmful air quality toxins.

Global Impact
-Defined as other issues not easily categorized into the aforementioned guide
principles such as selection of certain materials or finishes with
low or no VOC's (volatile organic compounds)

Intrinsic Passive Design Quality (building and site)

-Defined as the "design" of the homes itself being the single strongest, overall
sustainability quotient, using natural sun angles, wind direction,
overhang width, window location, etc. as a means to enhance passive efficiency.

Utilities
-To locate utility facilities as much as possible near the existing blank to blank
the cost of construction and maintenance of utility lines.

Design & Aesthetics

-A distinct identity is what will make the resort stand out of all other known
competitors. A theme resort should be able to exhibit the overall feels
by just having a glimpse at it. Inviting and giving customers the curiosity to
explore and eter the restaurant.
