Norton’s Children’s Hospital- Pediatric ICU Float Team Louisville, KY
 As an ICU float at Norton Children’s Hospital, I have worked in the NICU, PICU, and
Emergency department. I have provided care to patients on ventilators, patients requiring
parenteral feedings, patients with tracheostomies, and patients returning from surgery
requiring strict, one to one care.
 Performed assessments on infants, children, and adolescents, using critical thinking skills
provide holistic care.
 Experience with infants with congenital heart defects, infants having difficulty feeding,
and children with complex disorders such as diabetes, Cerebral Palsy, and major birth
defects.

Clark Memorial Hospital- ICU January-March 2019


 Provided healthcare to patients requiring ventilation, critically ill patients requiring round
the clock care, administered drip, IV, and IM medications, and facilitated patients to
return to their optimum health.
 Performed in depth head to toe assessments, charted on patients, and communicated with
staff on the unit with questions regarding patient care.
 Used critical thinking skills to manage patients by assessing the needs and stability of
each patient and using skills to manage time to provide best practice and care to patients.
Clark Memorial Hospital- Labor and Delivery/NICU March-May 2019
 Assess mother and fetal wellbeing during labor, administered pain medications, and
provided comfort and encouragement.
 Analyzed contractions for early and late decelerations, signs of fetal distress, and rate of
contractions.
 Performed assessments, administered medications, and charted on babies in the NICU.

 Established rapport with parents through daily communication on the condition of their
child with therapeutic and comforting language.
